Our story

Barnabas Music Academy (BMA) offers more than music. Whether you’re 3 or 93, we’ll take you on a journey of discovery to help you achieve your full artistic potential. As well as our first-class lessons, we host recitals so that you can express the talent and skills you’ve learnt with us. Welcome to Barnabas Music Academy!

TERMS & CONDITIONS

ENROLMENT, FEES & OPENING DATES

If you’d like to have lessons with us, you’ll need to enroll for at least a term. We follow the Kensington & Chelsea academic year, and you can see this year’s term dates on the left of your screen. Please note we are not open in half terms, term breaks and bank holidays, etc.

ABSENCES

Although we cannot refund fees for missed lessons, we can arrange a maximum of 2 'catch-up' lessons per pupil per term. Please note we can only do this on condition that we receive at least 24 hours notice of absence prior to the lesson missed. Catch-up lessons must take place by the end of the following term.

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee that we can arrange a 'catch-up' lesson for your child/children, as it depends on other parents giving us notice of absence - please note that if you ring in to notify us of a missed lesson, we will ask you which other days and times you are able to make. This helps us offer free slots to appropriate parents if/when they become available.

LEAVING THE MUSIC SCHOOL MIDTERM

Please note that there is no refund should you leave before the end of the term.

Location

All lessons take place at St Barnabas Church, 23 Addison Rd, Kensington W14 8LH, where we have all the necessary instruments.

COLLECTING YOUR CHILD

We take the security of all students (and staff) very seriously, but our teachers cannot take responsibility for children once the lesson has finished. Please ensure that you arrive promptly to collect your child/children once the lesson has ended. You are welcome to use our waiting area while the lesson takes place if you wish. Please note that no smoking is allowed on the premises.
